The same level of commitment to serving our patients is reflected in our dedication to teaching the future generations of leaders in our field. Nearly 100 physicians who have completed their primary training in Orthopaedic, Plastic or General Surgery have chosen to spend an additional year under our tutelage learning sophisticated Hand Surgery. Furthermore, we serve as the training center for residents and medical students from Johns Hopkins, Georgetown, Union Memorial Hospital and Walter Reed Army Hospital, and entertain visits from all over the world.

Additionally, National Hand Specialists has placed a premium on the medical education of colleagues and the public. We host a lecture series that ensures that we give back to our specialty and advance the surgical sciences. Continuing medical education conferences, as well as community forums, are two of the venues where we educate. Lastly, we have developed teaching laboratories and maintain an editorial staff that shares our knowledge with colleagues locally, regionally and nationally.
