hand and wrist. We have invested the time and resources to understand the
demands of the elite athlete and provide unparalleled clinical services
which have returned players to the highest level of competition in professional
baseball, football, basketball, hockey, golf, motor sports, as well as
caring for many Olympians and famous entertainers. Aside from serving as the formal Hand Surgery Consultants for our regional professional teams, we welcome players from other teams and all individual athletes every week. We have developed a portfolio of facilitated services that insures efficient, secure and confidential evaluation and treatment at National Hand Specialists at Union Memorial Hospital. We assist in arrangements for travel, lodging and other transportation needs, when desired. Our extensive experience in the care of the professional athlete has allowed us to develop signature communication instruments that are valuable to the players, franchises and agents, including electronic data transfer and even teleconference capability. Furthermore, we are most familiar with the interest of the media and outside parties in the injured athlete; for these reasons, we maintain utmost confidentiality, cooperation with the public relations or information directors of professional franchises and insure security for athletes arriving at our offices. |
