practice
Without a doubt the best group of hand surgeons within this country. Having had the experience of participating in the selection of every partner and seeing other groups throughout the U.S., these men and the support group of hand therapists and office staff are unparalleled
9. Where you see the future of Hand Surgery Going
Despite intense pressure on the field of Medicine, the Curtis National Hand center will continue to be a force in training young surgeons, and providing sophisticated surgical and therapy care for people with upper limb afflictions.
10. Why seek a hand surgeon, espec at Curtis National Hand Center?
Two reasons are immediately apparent. If the surgeon taking care of your problem can also repair extremely complex and difficult hand problems and is part of a multistate referral system, he has the skill to deal with your problem regardless of how simple or complex the problem is. Too often we are asked to care for patients with problems that would have had straight forward solutions here but with delay or injudicious treatment at other medical treatment facilities require complex surgical remedies that may not result in full function.
11. Why are we the premier hand specialists in the Nation?
We have the largest staff of hand surgeons under one roof with a vigorous hand surgery training program, backed up by most experienced group of hand therapists in the county [note: the therapists here have written the most widely read hand therapy book in the world soon coming out in its third edition] There is an unmatched esprit de corps amongst all of the members of the hand team here. We have one of the few programs in the country with plastic surgery and orthopedic surgery trained hand surgeons working side by side giving patientÍs access to highly skilled superspecialists in upper limb reconstruction.
12. Comments
Plastic surgeons and orthopedic surgeons in the state are likely the most sophisticated hand surgery patients we have. They know who the superstars are, they can go anywhere, and their hands are their livelihood. We can count many surgeons as satisfied consumers of the hand center services.
